THE FITZWILLIAM HOTEL

Luxury in full bloom at The Fitzwilliam.

The Brief

We were brought on to create a vibrant CGI campaign to celebrate Easter and the arrival of spring at The Fitzwilliam Hotel, Belfast. The goal was to boost seasonal bookings by bringing a touch of magic and visual charm to the hotel’s city-centre location. The brief was simple but open: create a joyful visual that would stand out on social media and inject a sense of celebration into the brand’s digital presence. We landed on a concept that reimagined the hotel’s facade in full spring bloom, adorned with giant pastel Easter eggs and vibrant floral growth,  inviting guests to embrace the season in style.

The Process

We kicked things off with an internal ideation session, exploring a range of Easter-themed visual routes, from playful animations to more subtle seasonal touches. After presenting several creative concepts, the team at The Fitzwilliam chose a bold, joyful idea that would transform their building into a springtime showpiece. We then captured high-quality photography of the hotel exterior to use as the base image for our CGI build. From there, we designed a 3D environment filled with blooming florals and oversized pastel Easter eggs, wrapping the building in seasonal charm. Every element was modelled, animated, lit, and composited to feel fresh, elegant, and unmistakably Fitzwilliam, with the final video optimised for maximum social media engagement.

Storyboard & Filming

Following concept sign-off, we created a visual plan to map out how the seasonal transformation would unfold across The Fitzwilliam’s exterior. We filmed the outside of the hotel on location in Belfast, capturing the building in ideal lighting conditions and from an angle that allowed us to seamlessly integrate animated elements. Our storyboards helped guide the timing and composition ensuring the camera movement and scene layout worked hand in hand with the CGI florals and Easter visuals to deliver an eye-catching final result.

Modelling & Animation

Once the footage was shot, our team began building out the 3D elements that would bring the seasonal concept to life. We modelled vibrant spring flowers, oversized Easter eggs, and trailing greenery to wrap around The Fitzwilliam’s facade. Each asset was carefully textured and lit to match the natural lighting captured in the footage. We animated the scene with subtle movement, flowers blooming, light drifting, and seasonal touches gently emerging, all designed to create a sense of uplifting transformation. The animation was crafted to feel both whimsical and refined, in line with the hotel’s premium brand identity.

Rendering & Post Production

With all assets in place, we moved into rendering and final polish. Using matched lighting and camera data, we composited the CGI elements seamlessly into the real-world footage, paying close attention to shadows, reflections, and integration details. Colour grading was used to enhance the warmth and vibrancy of the scene, while subtle environmental effects added realism and charm. The finished piece was exported in a format optimised for social media, designed to capture attention instantly and spread the feeling of spring across digital platforms.
